They were on the way to a greyhound track in Manchester after being picked up from a pub in Bootle, Merseyside, London’s Southwark Crown Court heard.
Passengers shouted out for the bus to stop after an apparent collision with a car driven by Hamilton, despite the coach driver neither feeling nor hearing any impact.
All the male passengers insisted they had been injured but were later seen running across a dual carriageway into a pub.Insurance claims were registered for all 30 on board. A fourth suspect, who was also a passenger, later told police the collision had been staged.
Carberry, Gray and Hamilton, all from Liverpool, admitted conspiracy to commit fraud. They will be sentenced at a later date
